David Marron divides his time between making art and being a paramedic. Consequently, his art work has a medical influence. Not only of anatomy and physiology, illness and injury, treatment and recovery, but the emotive aspect that all of this entails: the human response of failing and coping. As a paramedic he is sometimes thrown into extreme situations, pivotal events in someone’s life, it is these events, that stab at complex human testimonies of frailty and durability, that he seeks to address within his art work. He works in various media, often with drawing as a base, a beginning.
