GV Art represents a broad community of established and emerging artists. Working in a variety of disciplines, this diverse group share a common artistic and emotional vocabulary which is in sympathy with and helps mould the gallery’s sensibility. Defined by neither ideology nor fashion, it demands only tolerance for the individual voice, interconnectivity between man and environment and fresh approaches to our understanding of the human condition.

GV Art’s goal is to support artists in their free and untrammelled expression of the self. We also actively encourage collaborative endeavours and promote the exchange of ideas between artists working in radically different art forms and mediums in the hope that such dialogue will stimulate new and exciting forms of creative expression.

Much of the art work we exhibit has been created as a result of the artists’ interactions with the worlds of theatre, dance, and music, as well as academic exchange and community based projects. Accordingly, we provide sympathetic environments in which to exhibit their work. To this end, GV Art exhibitions are not confined by the limitations of a conventional gallery space but also include a variety of non-traditional, temporary environments, including commercial, public and recreational spaces.

Through its individual and group shows GV Art attempts to illustrate that all art, regardless of its provenance or its perceived commercial value, reflects the triumph of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
